Find a Doula.

To find a doula using the forms below:
Please Note - there are two search boxes - one for Birth Doulas and one for Postpartum Doulas. Please use the search box corresponding to the service you require.
  • ​Select the date you require a doula
  • Enter your postal code (to narrow the search down to doulas who service your area)
  • Click on 'Search by Availability'
  • Browse the doula profiles who meet your requirements & contact those you are interested in
  • We suggest meeting 2-3 doulas to be sure you find the perfect match. Most doulas offer consultations for free. 
Doulas on the Find a Doula List have the following training and experience:
- An approved training course from an approved trainer
- Support for three births, including written reflections and observations of each (Birth Doulas)
- A minimum of 12 hours supporting families postpartum, with written reflections and observations for each family (Postpartum Doulas)
- A narrative statement on the value and purpose of labour and/or postpartum support
- Observation of a childbirth education series, or participation in other applicable continuing education related to their role as a Doula such as: breastfeeding, infant massage, miscarriage/loss support, etc
- A recent Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Check 
- A valid CPR-C certificate (Postpartum Doulas)

DSA doulas are the proprietors of their doula business. They agree to our Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics. It is not mandatory for doulas to join our organization to be considered a doula. All Members MUST agree to our Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics. Doulas who practice outside of the Standards of Practice or Code of Ethics can be brought to the attention of our Board of Directors.
DSA doulas are responsible for the content of their own profiles and websites. The DSA does not monitor its members' websites or their doula profiles and cannot be held liable for any of the content. Any concerns regarding objectionable content can be brought to the attention of the DSA Board of Directors at: info@bcdoulas.org and we will address the concerns.
